About Linda Kelly - Austin and San Antonio Makeup Artist
Linda has been a professional makeup artist for over 25 years and during that time has performed thousands of makeovers on clients of all ages. Throughout her career she has wored with the top fashion cosmetics lines such as Chanel, Yves Saint-Laurent, Givenchy, Borghese, Lancôme, Estee Lauder and Elizabeth Arden to name a few and she holds cosmetology licenses in Texas, Missouri and Hawaii.
The Seventies:
In 1975, Linda moved to Honolulu, Hawaii and for a few years her look was the "au natural" bronze glow makeup look, having discovered the all-in-one makeup called Indian Earth. She later became a spokesperson for Indian Earth Cosmetics, the first mineral makeup, in retail establishments throughout Oahu. Next came the DISCO ERA with glittery eye shadow and lots of eye liner. Disco fashion and makeup trends are enjoying a huge resurgance this year!
The Eighties:
The BIG HAIR and MEGA MAKEUP looks of the 80's inspired Linda to pursue her passion for makeup and the total look by attending Hawaii Institute of Hair Design where she received a Cosmetology Degree. Linda went on to compete in several hair shows and won various achievement awards for her ability to create everything from the soft and natural camera-friendly look for the blushing bride to the dynamic and dramatic starlet glamour for movie and theatre.
The Nineties:
After thousands of makeovers with some of the top names in the cosmetics industry, Linda branched out from platform artistry to co-manage a glamour photography studio called Fabulous Looks. Linda continued her freelance work and specialized in wedding makeup and photo shoots throughout the Hawaiian Islands. This included a trip to Maui to work with supermodels Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer for a special Revlon event and a live television appearance for Claudia in Honolulu. For the Captain Morgan's Rum poster campaigns Linda utilized waterproofing techniques while working with the shipwrecked beauties and mermaids on the beaches of Hawaii and perfected the "smokey eye" look for Guess model Larissa. Television commercials, print advertising and runway fashion shows kept Linda in demand, but her creative avant garde makeup artistry soon found its way into the theatre, where Linda spent several seasons working with world-renowned makeup and wig master Richard Stead in the Hawaii Opera Theatre. Linda worked with internationally known opera stars in epic works such as Il Trovatore, La Boheme, Faust, La Traviata, Der Rosenkavalier and Carmen before moving to Texas in 1995.

Today:
Linda uses superb products in her makeup kit and is continually monitoring the cosmetics industry and testing new products for their performance and durability. A spray-on face? That's right! Airbrush makeup is changing the way makeup is applied. Linda uses a pressurized wand to spray on a light mist of special foundation, instantly covering any imperfections for a flawless look that lasts all day. Unique products combined with a special layering process, attention to detail and the ability to listen to her clients are just a few of the reasons Linda is one of the most in-demand makeup artists.
